Powys Council supports the £ 2 m worth of repairs to schools

£ 2 m package for schools throughout the Powys improvements is backed up by councillors.

Money to pay for repairs to a range of owner-occupied and updates areas, such as kitchens and toilets.


Welshpool and Newtown high schools are two of the donors, and they will receive nearly £ 650,000 between them.


Improvements in compression was recommended for approval, and of the Council decision on the Government to take a decision at the meeting.


Welshpool plans to spend £ 220,000 for roof repairs while Newtown used £ 223,000 resurfacing tennis courts and a repeat region.


Newtown will also spend £ replacement Windows 153,200 and £ 55,000 for resurfacing bus Park.


Eleven basic and high schools in Powys, the size of the many different projects is useful.


Other schools in the affected include John Beddoes secondary school, Portlaoise which I hope to upgrade the internal volume £ 123,600 lighting, replace a boiler repair of the roof and do.


In the meantime, the Manchester School intends to spend £ 122,000 headquarters toilet blocks.
